Point-of-Sale OG Image

The checkout pitch that still reads at thumbnail size.

Turns your AI into a social-preview designer for a point-of-sale product — builds a 1200×630 share image with one clean terminal silhouette, one short line about faster checkout, and type that stays readable at thumbnail size.

What’s inside

One SKILL.md (the playbook) + one starter template. A preview:

Point-of-Sale OG Image

When to use

  • Your point-of-sale product's shared links preview as a blank box, a cropped dashboard screenshot, or a generic logo that says nothing about checkout
  • You are announcing a new terminal, a checkout feature, or a pricing page and want the link preview to carry the pitch, not just the product name
  • A product page, launch post, or help article about your checkout hardware gets shared, and the preview does not distinguish it from any other page
  • Your team ships often and needs one repeatable preview format that works for hardware pages, feature announcements, and pricing pages alike
  • A photo of the terminal keeps failing as a preview because the device is small, the background is busy, and the headline is unreadable at thumbnail size

Workflow

  1. Decide the one checkout promise (input: the page → output: a one-line promise)
A point-of-sale preview carries one promise about checkout, in eight words or fewer — "Checkout in seconds, on any counter," not "We are revolutionizing the future of commerce for modern businesses everywhere." Read the page and find the sentence a shop owner would repeat to another shop owner; that is the preview line. If the page is a general product homepage, the line is the core checkout promise; if it is a feature or pricing page, the line is that page's specific offer. A list of features is not a promise, and a mission statement is not a promise — one concrete line is.
  2. Pick the terminal silhouette (input: the promise → output: a single device shape)
Choose one clean terminal gesture that embodies checkout without pretending to be a product photo: a slim countertop terminal standing upright, a handheld device angled toward the viewer, a terminal with a single card hovering above it mid-tap. The silhouette is a symbol, not a render — no buttons, no screen UI, no cables, no receipt paper, no real hardware detail. Draw it big and flat, in silver on a dark field, occupying roughly a third of the canvas. A real product photo crammed into 1200×630 reads as clutter at thumbnail size; one clean shape reads as "checkout hardware, clearly explained."
