On October 21, 2026, Anthropic opened a research preview of Claude Duet: a standalone app where Claude works as a proactive agent on its own cloud computer, sends a morning brief, checks connected apps every few hours, and asks before it sends, pays, signs, or deletes. Access runs through a waitlist for US Pro and Max subscribers, built on Claude Opus 5.5.
