Green Pharmacy Storefront
When to use
- You run an independent or local pharmacy and your online store is a bare product list
- Customers phone to ask "do you stock this?" because they cannot find it on your site
- Your prescription service (refills, transfers, consultations) is explained nowhere online
- You need a store page that sells over-the-counter products while staying on the right side of pharmacy advertising rules
- You are launching delivery or click-and-collect and customers cannot tell what is available how
Workflow
- Map the catalog honestly (input: your stock list → output: category map)
List what you actually stock and sell, grouped the way customers ask for it: pain relief, cold and flu, allergy, digestion, skin care, vitamins, baby care, first aid, mobility aids, and so on. Every category on the page must have real products behind it — a category page with nothing in it is a dead end that teaches customers not to trust the search. Flag anything that needs a pharmacist's input (prescription-only items, age-restricted products, items with interaction warnings) so the page can handle them differently from ordinary shelf products. - Design the store page (input: category map → output: page layout)
Build a calm, clinical-green system: white or very pale green background, one deep green for headings and buttons, dark type, generous spacing. The page opens with search (large, with plain-language suggestions: "paracetamol," "hay fever," "nappy rash") and the category grid, then featured categories, then services (prescription refills, transfers, delivery, click-and-collect), then a pharmacist contact block. Search and categories come first — a pharmacy page is a finding tool, not a brochure. - Write product cards that a pharmacist would approve (input: catalog → output: product cards)
Each product card carries: name, pack size, price, availability (in stock / order in / ask at counter), and one plain-language line about what it is for. No disease claims you cannot back up, no "cures" language, no dosage advice on a product card — dosage and suitability belong in a conversation with the pharmacist or on the manufacturer's labeling, not in marketing copy. If a product has a common interaction or age restriction, the card says "Ask our pharmacist" and links to the contact block, not to a checkout shortcut.
