Bixby Home to Samsung News: A Short History of Endings
Samsung News is the fourth name in a line of preloaded Galaxy content feeds: Bixby Home (2017) became Samsung Daily (2019), then Samsung Free (2020), then Samsung News (2023) - and Samsung Free itself was discontinued on 2025-12-16. SamMobile suggested that AI's disruption of web search may be a factor, though Samsung has said nothing itself.
