Run browsing, playlists and research tasks through Comet
After a month, the poster uses Comet to make a Spotify playlist, play chess, and handle work research, tool comparisons, reading technical docs and writing for nontechnical audiences.
- What They Did
- After getting an invite, the poster first used Comet for lightweight browser tasks like making a Spotify playlist, using it on Netflix, and even having it play chess. Over the next few weeks they started using it for work research: they talked to it in the browser, let it control tabs, tagged related pages, had it group pricing-doc tabs across platforms, summarize them, and then paste the checked summary into their notes.
- How It Went
- The poster says Chrome was off their taskbar within about three and a half weeks and that Comet saved them hours of reopening tabs; for the pricing comparison, they say the summary was accurate after a manual double-check and the paste into notes was flawless. They also note limits: tables sometimes broke, markdown changed when pasted into Google Docs, and they sometimes had to explicitly say “control this tab” to trigger the agent.
- Worth Knowing
- The biggest catch was reliability around formatting and activation: tab control sometimes needed an explicit prompt, and pasted tables/markdown did not always survive cleanly.

Help me with a research task in my browser: compare [tool A, tool B and tool C] for [my use case]. Read each one's official docs and pricing page, then give me a table of key differences, limits and costs, plus a short summary written for a nontechnical reader who needs to choose. Finish when you have covered all [3] tools and listed your sources.
