Order an Uber and find cheap soccer tickets by voice
A reviewer had Alexa+ order an Uber after linking his account and browse for the cheapest tickets at a nearby stadium, both of which worked.
- What They Did
- Jason Del Rey tried the beta of Alexa+ on an eight-inch Echo Show. He asked it by voice to order an Uber, which first needed him to agree to give it access to his Uber account. He also asked it to browse for the cheapest soccer tickets at a nearby stadium.
- How It Went
- Both worked. The Uber order went smoothly, and the ticket search worked quite well and took about four minutes. He doubted that either was faster than using a phone. A sushi reservation failed because the restaurant doesn't use OpenTable.
- Worth Knowing
- Alexa+ is in phased beta rollout. Older Echo speakers aren't supported, though the Alexa app works, and the Uber order required linking your account first.

Order me an Uber from [pickup location] to [destination] for [time]. Then look up tickets for [team or event] at [stadium or city] on [date or date range] and tell me the cheapest options with section and price. Before you confirm the ride or buy any tickets, stop and tell me exactly what you're about to book and the total cost.
