Medical Paperwork Agent

Medical Paperwork Agent

When to use

  • You're coordinating care across multiple doctors and nobody has the full picture — build one timeline they can all read
  • Preparing for an appointment and want to walk in with a symptom log, medication list, and the right questions (instead of forgetting everything in the room)
  • Your insurer denied a claim and you need a structured appeal letter, not an angry phone call
  • A family member is ill and you're the one holding the paperwork together: records, referrals, bills, prior authorizations
  • Tracking a chronic condition over months and need the history organized for the next specialist

Workflow

  1. Timeline (input: records, bills, notes → output: medical timeline)
Build one chronological timeline: dates, provider, what happened (visit / test / prescription / procedure), key results, and cost. Every entry cites its source (discharge summary, lab report, your notes). The timeline is the single source of truth — everything else in this skill is built from it. Keep it factual and dry; no interpretations, no diagnoses.
  2. Visit prep (input: timeline + upcoming appointment → output: prep sheet)
For the appointment, produce a one-page prep sheet: the 3 questions you must ask (ranked), symptom log since last visit (what / when / severity / what helped), current medications with doses, and the relevant timeline highlights the doctor won't have. Print it or hand the phone over — the sheet does the talking when you're nervous or rushed.
  3. Appeal builder (input: denial letter + timeline → output: appeal letter)
For a denied claim: extract from the denial letter the exact reason code and what the insurer says is missing. Then build the appeal — patient info, claim reference, the denial reason quoted back, then the counter-evidence from the timeline (dates, procedure codes, doctor's notes), then the specific ask (reconsider / approve / cover at the in-network rate). Close with a deadline for response and where to send it. Attach the evidence list, not the evidence itself, unless they ask.

Output spec

  • Medical timeline: date / provider / event / key results / cost / source — chronological, factual, no diagnoses
  • Visit prep sheet: 3 ranked questions / symptom log / medication list / timeline highlights — one page
  • Appeal letter: patient + claim refs / denial reason quoted / counter-evidence from timeline / specific ask / response deadline — formal tone, no anger
  • Every medical claim in any output must trace to a source in the timeline; anything unsourced is marked "patient-reported"
  • Nothing here is medical advice: the skill organizes paperwork, it does not interpret results or recommend treatment
