Steel Curve Profile Deck

Steel Curve Profile Deck
When to use
- Your manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, or industrial-services company needs a profile deck — for clients, partners, tenders, or investors — and the current one is a wall of text with stock photos of handshakes
- You need to show what the company actually does: what it makes, how it makes it, what it has delivered, and why a buyer should trust it with the next job
- A generic corporate template makes a steel fabricator look like a software startup — the deck should feel like the factory floor: solid, precise, curved metal, no fluff
- A tender or client meeting needs one deck that works both presented live and read alone as a PDF afterwards
- Your team keeps rebuilding the company intro from scratch for every bid, and the facts drift a little further each time
Workflow
- Collect the provable facts (input: company records → output: a fact sheet)
Gather only facts you can back up: what the company makes (products, materials, processes), capacity (floor area, machines, shifts, headcount by trade), certifications and standards held, and delivered work (projects, clients, volumes, on-time record) with dates. Every claim gets a source: a certificate, a contract, a delivery record. If a claim cannot be sourced, it does not go in the deck — "trusted by industry leaders" without names is not a fact, it is a wish. One fact sheet, kept current, becomes the single source of truth every bid deck draws from. - Set the steel-and-curve system (input: fact sheet → output: the visual system)
Fix the system once: a light silver-grey field (brushed metal, not white), dark charcoal type, one steel-blue or graphite accent, and one sweeping curve as the signature gesture — a single smooth arc that sweeps across a corner or under a headline, echoing a bent steel profile or a rolled sheet. The curve is drawn from the same geometry on every slide: same arc, same weight, same placement rules (title slide: large sweep; content slides: a quiet arc in one corner; dividers: the arc alone). Photography is real factory photography — machines, material, finished work — never stock handshakes, never clip art. Write the system down as a short spec so every bid deck built from it looks like the same company. - Build the spine (input: fact sheet + system → output: the deck spine)
Build the deck in this order, one idea per slide: title (company name + what it makes, in one line), what we make, how we make it (process, floor to finish), capacity and certifications, delivered work (named projects with numbers), why us (the three provable differentiators), and contact/next step. Keep it to 8–12 slides; a profile deck is a door-opener, not a catalogue — the full catalogue lives in a separate document. Every slide gets a headline that states its point ("We roll, cut, and weld to 0.5 mm tolerance") rather than a label ("Capabilities"). - Build the proof slides (input: spine → output: proof slides)
Build the delivered-work and capacity slides around numbers and real images: one project per slide or one project row per line — project name, what was supplied, quantity, year, and one photo of the finished work. Capacity slides show the floor: machines listed by type with counts, shifts, and the certifications as badge-like marks with their issuing bodies and expiry dates. If a project photo does not exist, use a clean material or process shot — never a stock image pretending to be your work. Every number on these slides traces back to the fact sheet; a buyer who checks should find the same numbers. - Check the deck two ways (input: finished slides → output: a verified deck)
Check the deck twice: once presented live (full-screen, headlines readable at meeting distance, one idea per slide in seconds), and once read alone as a PDF (every slide understandable without a narrator — speaker notes or small captions carry the context a presenter would add). Verify every fact against the fact sheet one final time, check certification dates are current, and confirm the contact slide names a real person and a real inbox. A profile deck with one stale certificate or one dead email address undoes every other slide's credibility.
